The Black Cloud, physically manipulated digital prints on paper, 5 x 3 m. Installed at Recreational Grounds II, a site-specific exhibition at Wendover House Car Park, London.
The Brutalist architecture is deployed as the setting for a science-fiction scenario, where images of dark nebulae (extremely dense interstellar clouds) have been mosaiced and physically manipulated to form an experience of cosmic immensity. The title refers to the 1957 science-fiction novel of the same name by astrophysicist Fred Hoyle.
